WHAT’S THE GIST?

Armor of God Esports was created in January 2021 with the intention of bringing Christ and a Family-friendly environment into the esports scene. We are also a Content Creation team, bringing together any and all Christian/Faith-Based Streamers from all platforms, to spread Christ, and bring a positive family to each other within the team.   

We want AOG content to be faith-based with a tie-in for things such as:

1.  Video Games

2.  Tabletop Gaming/Board Games/D&D

3.  Anime

4.  Books/Comics

5.  Movies/TV

The main goal of our blog is to write about how these topics intersect with our faith as Christians. Did you know that the average US American averages about 474 minutes a day consuming media? That totals out to 7 hours and 54 minutes! Our audience includes people from all walks of life who are in fandoms all over, looking for a place to dive deeper into conversations about faith and culture.

Aside from devotionals, we will also review pitches that are opinion articles (as it aligns to the values of AOG as an organization), previews/reviews (EX: upcoming or newly released games or seasons), coverage on developer/studio presentations (EX: Nintendo Directs/PlayStation Presents), and listicles (EX: Top 5 Games of 2022).

STEPS TO PITCHING AN IDEA 101

Pitch your idea for your article FIRST before writing the entire article. A pitch should be a short description of your content and should have a clear thesis outlining the main idea of the piece. This pitch can be submitted using the Google form here or by clicking the button below! Instructions on how to submit the pitch will be shown on the form. 

DO I GET PAID?

While we cannot afford to pay our writers, we can offer writing experience and exposure for your content. If we decide to move forward with your pitch, your content will be published on our website, shared on our socials, and included in our blog database, where all of your writing can be found and easily accessed for portfolio purposes. Our goal will always be to help edit and produce the best version of your writing that fits well with our intended audience and blog readers. We focus on building and investing in an authentic community at AOG, and we love to encourage our writers to get involved by joining our Discord and following AOG on all social platforms.

If you submit a pitch, we have the right to decline the pitch based on the values of the organization. If, for any reason, you have not heard back from an editor within ~2 weeks, assume we are not able to use your submission idea at this time.
